FINDING GREAT GRANDPA....OR LOCATING ANCESTORS USING 1890 CENSUS SUBSTITUTES - Speaker: Madeline Yanov
Since the 1890 Federal Census was almost entirely destroyed by fire any sources that can help you locate your ancestors in the years between 1880 and 1900 can be extremely useful.
Madeline has many suggestions and finding aids for us in this regard.
We are so happy she will be available and look forward to her informative program.
We hope you will join us.
Unfortunately, the original April meeting on Ger,an Research had to be postponed. We hope to reschedule it later in the year.
Guests are always welcome
Meetings are held at 10 a.m. at the Oakland Family History Center Library.
23 February 2017
THE MARCH MEETING WILL BE ON THE SECOND TUESDAY OF THE MONTH RATHER THAN THE USUAL WEDNESDAY
TUESDAY, MARCH 14, 2017
GERMAN RESEARCH - Speaker: Robert Jackson
We are very fortunate to have Robert Jackson speaking on German Research. He is an exceptional researcher with tremendous knowledge of Germany and I have heard nothing but raves aout his programs.
This first session will cover what you need to know to trace your ancestor as completely as you can in the United States. Without his/her background here in this country you will face some heavy hurdles researching in Germany. Mr. Jackson will share his research experience, which in turn will make your research experience so much easier.
Meetings are held at the Oakland Family History Library at 10 a.m.
We hope you will join us.
Guests are always welcome.
