What a wonderful way to begin the new year...cleaning up our act! The program many members have been requesting for some time.
Frances Lloyd has been interested in genealogy for many years. "It's fun"! she says. She will share with us her secrets of organizing all that data, those documents, and those notes and scraps of paper we have collected over the years.
Frances is a delightful lady and this should be a most enjoyable and helpful meeting.

FINDING THE DOTS...CONNECTING THE DOTS
Speaker - John Rawlinson
John Rawlinson will tell us how he began with a limited and bare framework of genealogy and by connecting all the 'dots' of information gathered, created a history.
A real story of imagining where information may be found, how to search for it and gather seemingly irrelevant bits of data. The next step was to creatively and interpretively connect the relationships between the data. Then, the process begins anew with renewed imagining and a search for additional information. The result/goal is a comprehensive and interesting story.
Meetings are open to all and guests are always welcome.

SWEDISH RESEARCH - Speaker, Wade Olofson
Wade Olofson is a member of the staff at the Oakland Family History Library, and is usually present every Thursday morning to help those researching their Swedish ancestry. We are fortunate to have him share his vast knowledge of Swedish records with us.
He will cover basics in Swedish research and enlighten us with information on the comprehensive resources available for the Swedish researcher at the Oakland FHC.
